On 17 April 2016, eight SCAAST delegates led by President Lin Feng participated in the welcome meeting for the Party Secretary You Quan and his Fujian Province delegation at Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan, as well as the dinner party. In the dialog session, President Lin briefly introduced the society and its activities in promotion for exchanges of technologies and talents between Singapore and China, in particular with Fujian Province. The SCAAST delegates appreciated the opportunity for developing collaborations with the Fujian partners and the local communities in Singapore.
